Jared T. Powelson, O.D.

Dr. Jared Powelson is no stranger to Memphis, in fact you could call him a 'native midtowner'. Dr. Powelson grew up in Central Gardens and attended Immaculate Conception Grade School and Memphis Catholic High School. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from UT Martin in 1992, and the Southern College of Optometry (SCO) in 1996. Dr. Powelson completed a fellowship at Southern Eye Associates in East Memphis, specializing in ocular disease and refractive surgery care. After completing his four years at Southern Eye Associates, Dr. Powelson has been in private practice as well as an Assistant Professor at SCO.

Michael Gerstner, O.D.

Dr. Michael Gerstner received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University in 1993. He graduated from the Southern College of Optometry in 1997, and completed his residency at Southern Eye Associates in the areas of ocular disease and refractive surgery care. Currently, he is the chief of Advanced Care Ocular Disease at SCO, as well as practicing at Midtown Eye Care. Dr. Gerstner also resides in Midtown.
